On Friday September 19th, Jacksonville Scene and Thursday Night Drinking Club participated in the Trust for Public Land "Park(ing) Day". In 90 cities across the country people set up temporary parks in parallel parking spots to promote parks in downtown areas. We had tons of people stop by and enjoy our park during their lunch break, smoke break or just to get out of work a little early. Special thanks to A1 Sod for providing the grassy area for us to walk around barefoot in all day and to Gecko Gardens for masterfully creating our private city oasis.
